Creative Writing Workshops

Schools participating in the Trafford 500 Word writing competition are warmly invited to Zoom writing workshops with English teacher and Manchester University Education Researcher Rebecca Grant, to get those creative juices flowing! The sessions will be suitable for all KS2 children.

How it will work

The Zoom details are available in the file below. The workshops will take place on Friday 25th February

  • Years 3 and 4: 10am-11am
  • Years 5 and 6: 2pm-3pm

Ideally, the workshop would be displayed on a large whiteboard. As far as possible, the workshop will be interactive; teachers will be able to unmute their room so that children can share their ideas and work with others. All the children will need is something to write with and on!

How to join in

You will need a webcam and microphone (you can use your computer). Point the webcam towards the class if possible. PowerPoint slides will be shared during the workshop. It would be best to display the Zoom call on a large whiteboard or screen that can be easily seen by the children.
